Sabre is currently recruiting for a Lead *.NET Software Architect 3 to work in Washington, DC.  This position is contingent upon contract award and/or customer approval.

 

Project Overview:  Sabre is currently seeking a Lead *.NET Architect/Developer to provide critical support for key business systems. *.NET Architect will ensure compatibility between equipment and software, analyzes operational/systems requirements, supports design reviews, and presents technical briefings. Evaluates, assesses, documents, and tests data security and continuity of operations for systems and programs. Serves as solutions provider to senior management and professional staff concerning areas of technological development and advancement. Provides broad-based full life cycle leadership in the development of applications. Formulates recommendations on hardware/software interfacing, large scale systems, expert systems, and technical problems. Performs business and system object modeling simulation and analysis. Advises and recommends system characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed and I/O requirements. Coordinates activities of developers and engineers. Provides enterprise systems architecture expertise in developing systems supporting common purposes, processes, architectures, and standards. Develops strategy for enterprise-wide methodology or tool implementation, or planning and implementing enterprise technology changes in all layers of the architecture including front end, middle tier and backend technologies and tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Technical Qualifications: 

 

  • 9 or more years’ experience 
  • Designing and developing applications 
  • Data modeling, data warehousing, distributed processing, utilization of tools for data modeling and logical and physical database design, software integration, and/or security issues and techniques, as required 
  • Business and system object modeling  
  • Analysis & design of software architecture documents  
  • Coding experience with the *.NET programming language 
  • SQL or database stored procedures 
  • Internet/Intranet protocols and web server technologies, where required 
  • Building Service Oriented Architecture using web service standards (i.e., SOAP, RPC, REST, or micro services), if required. 
  • At least 7 years experience 
  • Current network, development and database architectures and technologies. 

Developing systems architectures, if required 

  • Developing enterprise projects utilizing iterative system development methodologies, if required. 
  • At least 5 years’ experience 
  • Serving as a technical leader of software engineering or computer professionals, as required 
  • At least 3 years’ experience 
  • With XML or JSON, if required. 
  • At least one-year experience 
  • User story development or analysis in an agile development environment, if required. 
  • Knowledge of advanced testing tools and at least one year of experience with automated test-driven development in an agile environment. 
  • With continuous integrated and continuous delivery tools and technologies. 

 

Desirable Qualifications 

  • The use of version control software or software migration routines 
  • Knowledge of the Agile framework, DevOps or other iterative development methodologies 
  • Experience in multiple test and production environments 
  • Experience with the BLS standard IT development products and environments 
  • Knowledge of BLS surveys and systems 
  • Specific experience developing statistical systems 

 

Contract Requirements  

  • If a foreign national, Visa must be up-to-date and demonstrated work experience here in the US for three (3) or more years 
  • Developing systems architectures, where required. 
  • Must be eligible to obtain Special Sworn Status – Title 13 & 26 clearance through US Census Bureau (if required to support development)
